Soccer superstar Lee, who lives at our Walsall supported living service, scored his first hattrick since joining Walsall FC’s Beat the Block football team.
Participants enjoy a one hour football session run by professional staff at the Poundland Bescot Stadium, before social time in the community room. In this safe and friendly environment, they can chat to coaches, each other and mental health professionals.
Lee thoroughly enjoys the sessions and was so proud to score a hattrick – we’re all so proud of him.
The Walsall FC Community Programme organise the ‘Beat the Block’ football sessions which are focused on promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. They are supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
