Sam was one of the very first members of staff to join the Malsis Hall team as a Recovery Worker in July 2019, since then Sam has worked in various roles within the company, previously as our Care Home Activity Coordinator and more recently working in a HR role. However, Sam’s passion has always been to support Service Users to partake in meaningful activity with the goal of maximising wellbeing and independence.
Sam has over 9 years of experience working with children and adults with learning disabilities, and complex needs within an educational setting and in the community, starting off her career as a specialist educational needs teaching assistant, before moving on to community care.
She then worked as a Senior Support Worker at a day centre providing Service Users access to meaningful activities within the local community as well as facilitating group activities from arts and crafts to a weekly dance class at a local community centre. Sam will use her experience to support staff to effectively deliver imaginative fun and motivational activities using a person-centred approach, which will meet the holistic needs of our Service Users and improve their independence and quality of life
