Marie is a Registered Learning Disability Nurse with over 40 years’ experience in learning disability and mental health services in the public sector, which includes extensive partnership working with health and social care services and working in secure services from low to high secure settings. She gained an MSc in Learning Disability Studies from Birmingham University in 2000.
Marie has worked in the independent Mental Health and Learning Disability sectors for 15 years, in a range of senior roles and has contributed to the delivery of effective services, that have achieved improvements in Service Users’ experience.
Marie’s passionate about promoting quality in practice that ensures Service Users get the best possible service and staff receive positive leadership to deliver this.
Marie has one grown up daughter and three beautiful grandchildren who keep her busy when she is not working.
