Malsis Hall Announces Key Appointments to Strengthen Mental Health Support Services

Malsis Hall, a leading specialist in supporting individuals with complex mental health conditions, has announced three significant appointments that will bolster its mission to provide holistic recovery pathways.

The appointments come as Malsis Hall expands its facilities, increasing care home beds from 19 to 35.

Graham Mallinson takes on the role of Care Home Manager for the Eastburn Suite, Calder Suite, and Pullen Cottages. A first-level mental health nurse and independent and supplementary nurse prescriber, Graham brings extensive managerial experience from acute and intensive mental health, secure rehabilitation, and learning disabilities sectors.

Graham will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest level of care and service delivery. He will assume a clinical nursing lead role, promoting evidence-based nursing practice and ensuring compliance with CQC standards. He is committed to embedding Malsis Hall’s Quality Assurance Strategy and meeting action plan deadlines. “I am overwhelmed with the uniqueness of the services provided at Malsis Hall and feel fortunate to work in such a splendid environment,” said Graham.

Allison Reynolds joins as HR Advisor, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong educational background. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Intelligence and Analytics from the University of Huddersfield, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, and is CIPD Level 5 certified. His extensive HR experience spans the private security industry, customer service, and the healthcare sector.

At Malsis Hall, Allison’s responsibilities include advising and supporting managers in recruitment, disciplinary and grievance handling and performance management procedures. He designs and produces HR documentation templates, manages absence procedures, and maintains internal HR information systems. “Malsis Hall’s mission to support individuals with complex mental health conditions resonated deeply with me. The emphasis on quality care and enabling independence aligns with my professional values. I am committed to continuously improving HR processes to support this mission,” said Allison.

Samantha Garth has been promoted to the role of Activity and Wellbeing Manager. Samantha’s career began in special educational needs as a teaching assistant before transitioning to adult care, where she worked with adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

In her new role, Samantha will manage her team to ensure service users participate in meaningful activities that support their recovery goals. She will monitor and review service users’ documentation and facilitate both one-on-one and group activities. “I have always been passionate about mental health and sought new challenges. Since joining Malsis Hall in 2019 as a Recovery Worker and later becoming the Activity Coordinator in 2022, I have witnessed our service’s growth. I am excited to take on this new role as we continue to expand and enhance our services,” Samantha Garth shared.

Sally-Anne Redhead, Registered Manager at Malsis Hall, said: “We are delighted to welcome Allison, Samantha, and Graham to their new roles. Their expertise and dedication will undoubtedly enhance our services and support our mission to provide the highest quality care and support in the least restrictive environment.
