John has been a qualified learning disability nurse since 1989. He worked at Cranage Hall Hospital until its closure in 1995 mainly within the services that supported people with behaviours of concern. Since then, he has gained experience, knowledge and skills in several areas including caring for people in the community, in residential care, their own homes and in nursing homes.
He has worked with older people, people who have varying degrees of dementia, people who have physical disabilities and also individuals with learning disabilities and mental ill-health. He has a broad and varied range of expertise and can demonstrate skills within these areas.
John has a caring nature and always strives to provide a good quality service that is person cantered, ensuring that the home and service provides the right support, right care and right culture for the people who will live there and ensure the staff work to these principles and feel valued and supported.
