The team at ECHO Supported Living Services are very excited that Sharena Record – Operations Director is a finalist in the Social Care leadership Awards. Sharena has been nominated as she has been instrumental in the transition of 13 adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism moving from long stay hospitals into their own homes.
Some of these individuals had lived in hospital settings for over 20 years and experienced the trauma of placement breakdowns and institutional abuse. Her positive behaviour approach and commitment to STOMP has successfully reduced incidents and medication use and each person has achieved a better quality of life. Sharena is the first to nominate her team, but the team believe she is truly deserving of this award.
